# Privacy and security

> How minai looks after your data, your keys and what your agents can do.

Your agents see important things: your email, your chats, your bank. Here's how minai looks after them.

## Your keys

* **They never go through the chat.** They're entered in a one-time link that expires in an hour.
* **They're stored encrypted** and only the agent that asked for them uses them.
* For the money and email plugins (banks, ARCA, Mercado Pago, Email, Stripe), **the agent doesn't even see them**: minai adds them to each request, from its servers.

## What your agents can do

* **Nothing important without your OK**: writing, sending, paying or changing something always goes through your approval, with the details in plain view.
* **Permissions off from the start** for sending email, moving money or issuing invoices, which only you can turn on.
* **Read only** when you connect Google or Atlassian that way.
* **On the web**, they don't buy, pay, send or accept anything without your OK.
* **What comes from outside is information, not orders**: if an email or a page asks the agent for something, it tells you instead of doing it.

## Your data

* Each account runs **separately** from the others.
* We don't sell your data, we don't show ads and **we don't train models on your conversations**.
* What you talk about with your agents is processed by the AI you connected (Anthropic, OpenAI or OpenRouter, with your account and their terms), and what goes through each channel, by that channel's platform (Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack).
* If you use **minai's AI** during the trial, your messages go through minai's account at the AI provider.

## How long things are kept

| The WhatsApp plugin | The copy of your messages is deleted when you remove it. |
| A stopped account with no plan (the trial ended, a payment failed or you cancelled) | Deleted after 5 days. |
