# Compare channels

> What changes when you talk to your agent in the minai chat, Telegram, WhatsApp or Slack.

Your agent is the same on any channel: it remembers the same things, has the same plugins and does the same work. What changes is how it looks and what each platform allows.

## Which one to choose

* **To get started, the minai chat.** It needs nothing and it's where you see the most: tables, buttons and what it's up to.
* **If you already live in WhatsApp,** WhatsApp. You talk to it from your usual WhatsApp, in a group with its name.
* **If you like buttons outside the app,** Telegram. Each agent is one more contact.
* **For work,** Slack: a private channel in your team's workspace.
* **For a group of people,** Telegram, WhatsApp or Slack (the minai chat is personal only). See [Agents for a group](/en/reference/channels/groups).

An agent talks on **one channel at a time**. If you want another one later, you switch it and it takes everything along: see [Change an agent](/en/setup/change-an-agent).

## Read everything from minai

In **Chats** you see the conversations of all your agents, wherever they are. You can read the Telegram, WhatsApp and Slack ones in the app, but you answer them on their platform (**Send on Telegram**, for example). From the app you can't react or tap buttons in those chats.
