# Install the app and notifications

> Put minai on your phone's home screen and find out when your agents write to you.

minai works in the browser, but on your phone it's best to **install it**: it opens like an app, with its own icon, and lets you know when an agent writes to you. You don't need to download anything from an app store.

## Installing it

On your phone, minai shows you the **Install minai on your phone** card. Tap it and it shows you the steps for your browser. In short:

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="iPhone (Safari)">
    1. Tap **Share** (at the bottom in the middle; on iOS 26, first the three dots, at the bottom right).
    2. Tap **Add to Home Screen** (if you don't see it, scroll down a bit or tap **View More**).
    3. Leave **Open as Web App** on, if it shows up, and tap **Add**.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Android (Chrome)">
    1. Tap the three dots, at the top right.
    2. Tap **Add to Home screen** or **Install app**.
    3. Tap **Install**.

    Some phones show the **Install minai** button directly.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Samsung Internet">
    1. Tap the menu, at the bottom right.
    2. Tap **Add page to**.
    3. Choose **Home screen** and tap **Add**.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Computer">
    In Chrome or Edge, **Install minai** shows up in **Settings → Notifications**: it becomes an app, with its own icon.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

<Tip>
  If you opened minai from another app (Instagram, an email…), first open it in your phone's browser: that's where it installs from.
</Tip>

## Turning on notifications

Open minai from its icon and tap **Turn on** when it asks “Know when they write to you.” Your phone asks for permission: choose **Allow**. You can also turn them on in **Settings → Notifications → On this device**.

</Frame>

What you get:

* Your agents' messages in **minai's chat** (not while that chat is open on any of your devices).
* **minai's notices**: your plan, your AI subscription, a channel that stopped working.

Agents on Telegram, WhatsApp or Slack notify you through those apps, like any other contact.

<Note>
  On iPhone, notifications only work with minai installed. They're turned on per device: if you use minai on two phones, turn them on on each one.
</Note>

## Notices by chat

If you have an agent on Telegram, WhatsApp or Slack, it can also tell you minai's notices in its chat. In **Settings → Notifications → Notices by chat** you choose who lets you know.
