With Mercado Pago, your agent tells you how much you have, what you paid and what came in, gives you your CVU and alias, and tells you the Dólar MEP rate (the legal market dollar). If you turn on the permission, it also transfers and buys or sells dollars, always with your OK.

What it can do

Look up

Balances (pesos earning interest, dollars, reserves, investments); your activity and the details of each transaction; receipts as PDF; your CVU, your alias and your CVU certificate; your frequent contacts; Dólar MEP (the rate and whether the market is open).

Move money, with your OK

Transfer pesos to a contact or to a CBU, CVU or alias, and buy or sell Dólar MEP. It needs the permission on.

How it connects

1

Add it to an agent

From Plugins → Mercado Pago → Add to an agent, or ask your agent in the chat. See Add a plugin.
2

Enter your account's email

Your agent sends you a one-time link for your Mercado Pago account’s email. See Keys and values.
3

Give it the code

Your agent tells you before it arrives: Mercado Pago sends you a code over WhatsApp (or by SMS, if you prefer). Give it to your agent in the chat; it’s valid for 15 minutes.
4

Your agent confirms

It checks that it can sign in and tells you it’s ready. The session lasts quite a while; when it expires, it asks you for a new code.

The permission

On the Mercado Pago card, in the agent’s Plugins tab, there’s the Allow transfers and dollar trades switch: “Transfer and buy or sell Dólar MEP, always with your OK. Off, it only looks.” It starts off and only you change it. minai’s servers enforce the limit: your agent can’t get around it. See Permissions.
A transfer or a dollar purchase is money that really moves. Turn on the permission only if you want your agent to be able to do it, and check every preview before confirming.

How it looks out for you

  • First, the preview. Before transferring, it shows you who it’s to (name, CUIT, CBU or CVU, bank) and how much; for dollars, how much you pay, how much you get and at what rate. With the Confirm and Change buttons. It only goes ahead with your yes, and that OK is for that exact operation.
  • For large amounts or new recipients, Mercado Pago may ask you to approve it in its app: your agent sends you a link to tap on your phone.
  • Validating a new CBU or alias has limited attempts, so your agent does it carefully.
  • If the result isn’t clear, it doesn’t retry: first it checks your activity.
  • Your agent never sees your session: minai’s servers keep it.

Things to ask it

  • “How much do I have in Mercado Pago?”
  • “What payments did I make this week?”
  • “Give me my CVU and alias so I can send them to a client.”
  • “What’s the Dólar MEP rate?”
  • “Send Lucía $20,000 for dinner.”
  • “Buy dollars with $100,000.”

Limits

  • When the session expires, a new code is needed.
  • Dólar MEP only trades on business days, during market hours, with a minimum and a monthly limit.
  • Mercado Pago’s anti-fraud checks may stop an operation.
  • It’s only for a personal agent.

If you remove it

Your agent loses access in less than a minute and confirms it. Your details are deleted with the plugin; if you add it again, it asks for them again. See Remove a plugin.
