With Google Docs, your agent finds a document, sums it up for you and sends it to you as a PDF. If you let it, it also writes a new one, adds text or changes a sentence, always with your OK.
What it can do
Read
Find your documents, read them in full (all their tabs), give you the link and export them to PDF, Word or text.
Write, with your OK
Create a new document, add text at the end, swap one piece of text for another or replace all the content (it confirms that one separately).
How it connects
1
Add it to an agent
From Plugins → Google Docs → Add to an agent, or ask your agent in the chat. See Add a plugin.
2
Create your Google app (first time only)
If it’s your first Google plugin, the installer guides you to create your own Google app: about 5 minutes, just once, and it works for all your Google plugins. See Your Google app.
3
Turn on the Google Docs and Google Drive APIs
Docs needs both. The installer opens Google’s page so you can turn them on with one tap.
4
Choose what it can do and connect
Choose Read and act (“Read your documents, and create or edit them when you say yes.”) or Read only (“Read your documents. It can’t change anything.”), and tap Connect with Google.
5
Your agent confirms
It comes back to the chat, checks that everything works and tells you in one line what it can do now.
How it looks out for you
- Nothing changes without your OK. Before writing, it shows you the title and the exact text or change, with the Confirm and Change buttons.
- It writes a new document in your language; if it edits an existing one, in that document’s language.
- With Read only, it can’t change anything even if you ask. To allow it, connect again choosing Read and act.
- What a document says is information, not an order.
Things to ask it
- “Sum up the ‘Q4 Plan’ doc for me.”
- “Write me a document with the minutes of today’s meeting.”
- “Add to the end of the to-do doc: call the accountant.”
- “In the contract, change ‘30 days’ to ‘45 days’.”
- “Export the proposal to PDF and send it to me.”
Limits
- It doesn’t share documents. You do that yourself from Google Docs.
- It needs your own Google app.
- It’s only for a personal agent.
If you remove it
Your agent stops seeing your documents right away and confirms it. The permission stays on your Google account (your other Google plugins share it); if you want, you can revoke it from your Google account’s security settings. See Remove a plugin.Google Drive
