With Google Search Console, your agent tells you which searches bring people to your site, which pages are going up or down, whether Google has indexed a page yet and whether your sitemap has errors. Submitting a sitemap it does only with your OK.

What it can do

Look

Your sites; clicks, impressions, CTR and average position by search, page, country, device or day; whether a page is indexed, when Google last crawled it or why it isn’t indexing it; your sitemaps and their errors.

Sitemaps, with your OK

Submit (or resubmit) a sitemap, and remove it from Search Console (not from your site).
Data for the last 2 or 3 days isn’t final yet: your agent points that out when it matters.

How it connects

1

Add it to an agent

From Plugins → Google Search Console → Add to an agent, or ask your agent in the chat. See Add a plugin.
2

Create your Google app (first time only)

If it’s your first Google plugin, the installer guides you to create your own Google app: about 5 minutes, just once, and it works for all your Google plugins. See Your Google app.
3

Turn on the Search Console API

The installer opens Google’s page so you can turn it on with one tap.
4

Choose what it can do and connect

Choose Read and act (“See how people find you on Google, and send sitemaps when you say yes.”) or Read only (“See how people find you on Google. It can’t change anything.”), and tap Connect with Google.
5

Your agent confirms

It comes back to the chat, checks that everything works and tells you in one line what it can do now.

How it looks out for you

  • Nothing changes without your OK. Before submitting or removing a sitemap, it shows you which one, with the Confirm and Change buttons.
  • With Read only, it can’t change anything even if you ask. To allow it, connect again choosing Read and act.

Things to ask it

  • “Which searches find me on Google?”
  • “Which pages lost clicks this month?”
  • “Did Google index the /pricing page?”
  • “Does the sitemap have errors?”
  • “Resubmit the sitemap, I updated the site.”

Limits

  • It only sees the sites the connected Google account has in Search Console.
  • It needs your own Google app.
  • It’s only for a personal agent.

If you remove it

Your agent stops seeing your Search Console right away and confirms it. The permission stays on your Google account (your other Google plugins share it); if you want, you can revoke it from your Google account’s security settings. See Remove a plugin.
