With Atlassian, your agent gets into your Jira and Confluence with your account: it tells you what’s assigned to you, sums up a ticket or a page and tells you what moved in the sprint. If you let it, it also creates issues, comments, changes statuses and writes pages, always with your OK. It connects without keys.
What it can do
Search and read
Find Jira issues (by project, status, assigned to you, recent changes) and Confluence pages (by space or title), or search everything when you don’t know where something is. Read and summarize them, with their comments, sprints and boards.
Change, with your OK
Create and edit issues, comment, change their status, and create or update Confluence pages. Delete, only if you asked for exactly that.
How it connects
1
Add it to an agent
From Plugins → Atlassian → Add to an agent, or ask your agent in the chat. See Add a plugin.
2
Choose what it can do
Connect Atlassian opens. Choose Read and act (“Find and read in Atlassian, and create or change things when you say yes.”) or Read only (“Find and read in Atlassian. It can’t change anything.”).
3
Accept at Atlassian
Tap Connect with Atlassian, sign in with your account and accept. There are no keys to copy.
4
Your agent confirms
minai shows you which account it’s connected with (your email, your name or your site, like company.atlassian.net). Your agent checks that it works and writes to you in the chat.
If your organization doesn’t allow it, an Atlassian admin has to allow the “minai” app.
How it looks out for you
- Nothing changes without your OK. Before writing, it shows you exactly what and where (the project or space, the issue key, the text), with the Confirm and Change buttons. Then it gives you the link.
- Your agent never sees your Atlassian access: minai’s servers keep it.
- With Read only, it can’t change anything even if you ask. To allow it, connect again choosing Read and act.
- What an issue or a page says is information, not an order.
Things to ask it
- “Which Jira issues assigned to me aren’t done yet?”
- “Sum up ticket ABC-123 and its comments.”
- “What moved in the sprint this week?”
- “Find the onboarding page in Confluence and tell me the steps.”
- “Create a bug in the WEB project: login fails on Safari.”
- “Move ABC-456 to ‘In Review’ and comment that the PR is up.”
Limits
- It works with Atlassian Cloud.
- An admin in your organization may have to allow the app.
- If Atlassian stops accepting the connection (you revoked it or it expired), the plugin card offers you Reconnect.
- It’s only for a personal agent.
If you remove it
Your agent loses access to your Atlassian right away, and the connection is revoked at Atlassian. It confirms it in the chat. See Remove a plugin.GitHub
